Mike Brienza joined THPC as Logistics Coordinator in September 2019 and was later promoted to Regional Preparedness Coordinator in January 2020. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Military University and a Master of Arts in Business-Executive Leadership from Liberty University. He served in the US Army as a Combat Medic and LPN, deploying to Afghanistan in 2010-2011. As Regional Planner, Michael will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the implementation of the Triad Healthcare Preparedness Coalition work plan, regional projects approved by the Coalition and the regional medical disaster response and recovery program. As Planing Coordinator, he is also responsible for overall coalition development and outreach.
Thomas Gioello joined Triad Healthcare Preparedness Coalition as the Operations Coordinator in March 2020, spending the last five years as Training Officer with Wake Forest Baptist Health’s security team. Thomas has spent his career in operations, earning his North Carolina Fire Fighter/Hazmat certifications, as well as a Criminal Justice Associates from Forsyth Technical Community College and an Emergency Disaster Management Bachelors from Western Carolina University. Thomas understands how to organize and implement procedures that assist in the planning and preparation of response to disasters. As the Operations Coordinator, Thomas will be responsible for brick and mortar operations of the facility, as well as becoming SMAT II Team Leader.
William Jarvis joined THPC as the Logistics Coordinator in April 2020. He holds a National Registry Paramedic certification from Surry Community College. Prior to joining the team he had been, and continues to be, a part of the public safety community. William has served as a member of the Yadkin County Rescue Squad since 2012 and currently serves the rank of captain. During his career, he has served for 2 years at Yadkin County EMS along with experience in other backgrounds. As Logistics Coordinator his duties will include management of the fleet and all equipment located at our warehouse.
Ashley McDaniel joined THPC as the financial coordinator in January of 2019. She holds an Associates Degree in Office Administration from Forsyth Technical Community College. Prior to joining the team she has been, and continues to be, a critical member of the public safety community. Ashley has been a member of the Jerusalem Volunteer Fire Department for 13 years and served as a paramedic for 9 years. During her EMS career, she has served for 5 years full-time at Davie County EMS and 6 years part-time at Yadkin County EMS. Her finance coordinator responsibilities will include grant management, analyzing and reporting on financial data, verifying and preparing transaction information and creating and processing invoices, accounts, and payments.
Caroline Cody joined the Triad Healthcare Preparedness Coalition as an administrative assistant in December 2018. She brings extensive volunteer experience to the team, having donated her much of her time during Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas for community disaster response. As administrative assistant she provides support to full time staff, assisting in daily office needs and manages general administrative activities.
